Business Councils

The Food Export Council mainly aims at linking both production and exports policies, promote Egyptian exports to international markets to improve and highlight its Egyptian food products liability as a reputable product in international markets to accomplish this purpose. The FEC provides services created to match between political decisions and business interests such as participating in conferences workshops, and fairs abroad to have a hand on experience on the requirements of exports all over the world.

China Club

H.E. Eng. Rachid Mohammed Rachid Minister of Trade and Industry initiated the idea of forming a China Geographical Club as well, since China is one of the largest markets worldwide facing a huge economic boom in the time being. China Club includes several export sectors besides the food exports. The Food Export Sector is chaired by Mr. Alaa El Bahay Chairman Mass Food.

First China Club Meeting was held at the Egyptian Chinese Council on the 24th of January 2007 discussing the following:

  • First Trip to China as a fact finding mission should be to the Sial exhibition in May
  • Carrying out a Market Study with the Minister of the ECS in China
  • What are the problems facing the Egyptian Companies in their exports to China?
  • Marketing & Advertising for the exported goods (Advertising & Marketing Campaigns(
  • Financing the mission
  • Appointing an international firm to carry out a marketing study about China pointing out Egypt's competitive advantage for the Chinese's market
  • Preparing an orientation session in cooperation with the commercial sector in the Chinese Embassy.
